Israel, June 24, 2025: Amid the tensions between Israel and Iran and the ongoing talks of a ceasefire, four people are reported to be dead in Israel’s Be’er Sheva after an Iranian ballistic missile struck an apartment block. Several people are reported to be injured in the incident.

Sirens sound across central Israel and some areas in the south amid a third salvo of ballistic missiles from Iran. The launch is the third Iranian missile attack on Israel in less than an hour, reported the Times of Israel.

A video has emerged from Be’er Sheva, which shows the residential complex being completely destroyed by the Iranian missile.

The attacks came hours after US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire that was set to start taking effect this morning. Trump claimed that Israel and Iran had agreed to a “complete and total ceasefire" soon after Iran launched a limited missile attack Monday on a US military base in Qatar, retaliating for the American bombing of its nuclear sites.

“CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED!" he wrote.

However, in response to the US President’s ceasefire announcement, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that there was no ceasefire. “As of now, there is NO agreement on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations," Araghchi wrote in a post on the social platform X.

The conflict between Israel and Iran began on June 13 after Israel launched ‘Operation Rising Lion’ against Iran, targeting its nuclear and military installations. Iran also retaliated with barrages of missiles on Israel. The war intensified after the US bombed three nuclear sites in Iran. In response, Tehran attacked Washington’s military bases in Qatar and Iraq.
