Four newly nominated members take oath in Karnataka Legislative Council

Bengaluru, Sept 12, 2025: Four newly nominated members of the Karnataka Legislative Council took oath of office at a formal ceremony held in the Banquet Hall of Vidhana Soudha on Thursday.
The members sworn in were Dr. Arathi Krishna, Ramesh Babu, F.H. Jakkappanavar, and Shivakumar K. The oath was administered by Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti.
The ceremony was attended by several senior leaders, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara, Law Minister H.K. Patil, Animal Husbandry Minister Venkatesh, Minor Irrigation and Science & Technology Minister N.S. Boseraju, and Housing Minister Zameer Ahmad Khan, among others.
The event marked the official induction of the nominated members into the Upper House of the Karnataka Legislature.
