New Delhi, May 3, 2025: The order comes in the backdrop of rising tensions between India and Pakistan after the April 22 terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam
The Union Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways issued an order on Saturday directing that ships bearing Pakistan flags shall not be allowed to visit any Indian port and Indian flag ships shall not visit any ports of Pakistan.
The order comes in the backdrop of rising tensions between India and Pakistan after the April 22 terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam.
As per a notification by the ministry, the order comes into effect immediately and will remain in force till further order.
