New Delhi, May 25, 2026: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan came, posed and conquered the 79th Cannes Film Festival red carpet. Captivating the festival with couture, Aishwarya was styled by Mohit Rai, who celebrated Aishwarya’s timeless elegance in 5 opulent creations.

Aishwarya’s iconic presence was elevated through custom pieces designed by Amit Aggarwal, Cheney Chan, Sophie Couture, and Fjolla Nila, among others, on and off the red carpet.

As the L’Oréal Paris ambassador, Aishwarya graced the red carpet in two couture gowns crafted by Aggarwal and Chan, respectively. For her off-the-red-carpet looks, Aishwarya looked incredible in pieces that not only celebrated her style quotient but also added opulence to her Cannes moment.

Speaking about working with Aishwarya for the Cannes Film Festival this year, Mohit Rai says, “Working with Aishwarya [Rai Bachchan] for Cannes is always special because every look becomes a moment in itself. This year, with all the 3 looks, Amit Aggarwal, Cheney Chan and Sophie Couture, we wanted each look to have its own distinct mood and personality while still feeling true to her timeless elegance and iconic presence."

He further adds, “The entire process with her [Aishwarya Rai Bachchan] has been incredibly collaborative and detail-oriented, from the mood boards to the final fittings, which makes bringing these fashion moments to life even more exciting."

Crafting Radiance Through Sculptural Artistry

An exploration of radiance in motion, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan glided through the red carpet in a couture silhouette envisioned by Amit Aggarwal and Mohit Rai. Developed over more than 1500 hours of intricate craftsmanship, the sculptural gown was realised through Amit Aggarwal’s signature Crystal Vein embroidery, where thousands of crystalline embellishments converged within sculptural lattice-like structures to create an interplay of luminosity, depth, and fluidity.

Cheney Chan reimagines formal tailoring by creating a silhouette suspended between reality and fantasy. Dramatic feathers bring drama to the sharp pant suit, realised in a serene shade of ivory. The fluid line, feathered forms and the cinematic softness brought a powerful yet gentle balance to Aishwarya’s second red carpet look.

For her off-the-red-carpet moments, Aishwarya looked ethereal in a pastel pink gown and sheer cape embellished with 3D floral petal motifs. Every element in Aishwarya’s Cannes 2026 wardrobe was craft-led, innovative and embraced drama to the T.
