Young veterinarian from Puttur dies by suicide in Mangaluru

Puttur, Aug 6, 2025: Dr. Keerthana Joshi (27), daughter of Chartered Accountant Ganesh Joshi from Bappalagudde, Puttur, reportedly died by suicide at her residence in Mangaluru on Monday night.
The exact reason behind her death is yet to be ascertained. Her mortal remains were brought to her hometown Puttur, where the final rites were performed.
Dr. Keerthana Joshi had completed her MD in Veterinary Science and was practicing privately in Puttur, Kollur, and Mangaluru. Reports indicate that she hanged herself at her Mangaluru residence late Monday night.
She is survived by her father Ganesh Joshi, mother Veena Joshi, and sister Dr. Meghana Joshi.
