Yogish Bhat proposes 46 point programme for inclusion in state budget

yogish bhat13jan22 1Mangalore, Jan 22,2013: Deputy Speaker N Yogish Bhat, has in a letter to Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar listed out a 46 point programme that need to be incorporated in the budget.


The letter has urged the Chief Minister to announce a unique health insurance scheme  ensuring health cover for the entire  population of the state and name the scheme as Vajpayee Comprehensive Health Cover Project.


Even major projects like proposed Mono rail between Mangalore-Udupi-Kundapur, between Bangalore-Mysore and Hubli Dharwad, underground tunnel highway on the Mangalore-Bangalore sector  also find  a mention among the projects. He has also requested the government to announce a special  scheme to provide three  additional LPG cylinders to every household.


Yet another project proposal suggested by Yogish Bhat is housing projects for economically weaker section with a target of constructing 10 lakh houses.


 As far as Mangalore is concerned, the projects suggested are construction of a new district administration complex, new Ranga Mandir and housing complex for government employees.
