Yediyurappa even issued a word of caution to colleagues and said people have lost their faith in the government.

Ahead of resigning as the Karnataka chief minister, Yediyurappa said, “I have debt to pay back to the people of Karnataka. I ask officers and MLAs that people have lost trust in all of us. We should work harder and in clean honest way. Many officials are honest. All should become that. Bangalore is being developed to world class city.”

My comment on Yediruppa’s comments as he was laying down the office as CM is that I am surprised by his call to officers and MLAs to be honest. It will be appropriate and timely he should define his concept of honesty. I am totally confused when he talks of honesty. Mahatma Gandhi had urged that we should be the change. If Yediruppa has accepted Mahatma’s suggestion, should officers and MLAs follow his example to act honestly? Let us hope we will get some clarification.
