Veteran writer Ramachandra Deva no more

Sullia, Sep 12, 2013 : Veteran Kannada poet and writer Ramachandra Deva (67) is no more. Deva was ailing since some time.
Deva hailed from Kalmadka in Sullia taluk and was also a playwright. He had even served as Professor of English in Shimoga University.
He had also authored a number of essays, poems and stories and had translated Shakespearan plays into Kannada. His work “Mutthu Mathu Ithara Lekhanagalu” had won the “Inamdar Award”. He was even a columnist for several Kannada dailies.
Ramachandra Deva is survived by two daughters.
