Unique wedding – photojournalist displays photos in wedding hall

Mangalore Today News Network

Moodbidri, May 7, 2012: Every marriage is unique, but the wedding of Sudhakar Jain, a photojournalist at Bangalore bureau of The New Indian Express, and Sowmyashree held in Kesarugadde near Moodbidri in DK on May 6 Sunday stood in a class of its own.

The photojournalist had set up a photo exhibition right in front of the marriage hall. Around 65 photographs were on display, and each photograph was captured by the photojournalist himself.

Most of the photographs were taken for some news report or the other, but many of them depicted social concern.

One of the pictures showed Yeddyurappa falling off a bicycle, symbolizing his fall from power, another was a photo of CM Sadananda Gowda on a bed of roses, and yet another was a photo showing a broken chair in front of the Vidhana Soudha. The photos encouraged the wedding guests to think about the social situation, discuss art, and share their views instead of wasting their time in unnecessary gossisp and chit chat.

Sudhakar’s decision to display photos at the venue of his wedding shows his dedication towards his profession along with the importance he gives to his personal life.

We wish Sudhakar Jain a bright career and the newly wedded couple, a happy married life.
