Mangalore, Mar 30, 2012: The DK Zilla Panchayat, the Horticulture Department, and the Siri Horticultural Association jointly organized a 2-day exhibition of flowers and fruits at Kadri Park on March 30 Friday.
Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the exhibition, K. T. Shailaja Bhat, the president of the Zilla Panchayat, said that this exhibition gives people a chance to showcase their talents in growing a wide range of flowers and fruits. The exhibition brings together people interested in purchasing and selling farm-grown fruits and vegetables.
A wide range of vegetables, fruits, and flowers were displayed on the occasion.
Rama Murthy and Rama B. of Bangalore organized a flower show based on the theme “festivals of India.” The flower arrangements depicted festivals such as Holi, Gowri Habba, Christmas, Deepavali, Gokulashtami, and Ramzan.
B. Nagaraj Shetty, the chairman of the Coastal Development Authority (CDA); Dr. K. N. Vijayaprakash, the CEO of the ZP; K. Nemiraj Konde, the joint secretary of Siri; N. V. K. Bhatrakodi, the treasurer of Siri, and many others were present.
