UPA govt has not released funds to state under Gram Sadak Yojan, alleges CM Shettar

Kundapur, April 26, 2013  : Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar who was in Kundapur  on April 25, Thursday to campaign for the party for the upcoming assembly elections claimed that the state has witnessed much development in the  past five year period.

Addressing a public meeting at Uppunda, Byndoor, the Chief Minister said the BJP has been successful in transforming the state. He said the BJP was going to the people with development as its agenda. The Chief Minister in his address, did not forget to mention that the constitution of Byndoor taluk was an achievement of the BJP government.”My government after considering the reports of all committees formed for the constitution of taluks, has announced the formation of 43 new taluks including Byndoor and Brahmavar, the Chief Minister said.

He further said it was the BJP government which was the first in the state to present a farm budget. The CM alleged that the UPA government has not released funds  under schemes like ’Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak’ and added it was owing to this reason that the state government introduced ’Namma Grama Namma Raste’ (Our Village Our Road) project. The government has spent Rs 30 crore under this project, he added.
