Twin districts report better SSLC results this year

Mangalore, May 19, 2012: Undivided DK has reported better SSLC results this year. All schools in Udupi and DK have reported a pass percentage of above 40. 

There are 692 schools in Udupi and DK, and only 9 of them have reported a pass percentage of below 60. The rest have secured above 60 percent results. 

A total of 15,532 boys and 15,769 girls answered their SSLC exams in DK in 447 schools and only 8 of them have secured below 60 percent results. Of the rest, 124 schools reported 100 percent results, 365 reported more than 80 percent results. 

In 2011, only 234 schools in DK had reported over 80 percent results. 

Students from the SC/ST communities have done well in their exams. Of the 1,901 SC students who answered their SSLC exams, 1,514 passed; and of the 1,085 ST students who wrote their exams 862 passed.
