Mangaluru, Aug 23, 2025: Speaking at a press conference, Tulu theatre artistes’ association member and senior renowned playwright Devadas Kapikad said, "I have been in theatre for 38 years, but such a situation has never occurred.”

"Even with 5,000 people present for a play, suddenly the generator was taken away. The audience was left confused, not knowing whether the play would continue or not". 

"We are facing a severe setback, and our elected representatives must respond to this issue.”
