Tulu movie Bangarda Kural to be released abroad soon

Mangalore, June 15, 2012 : Bangarda Kural, the 42nd movie in Tulu, will be released in theatres outside India by the end of this month. The movie has already set a record by running for nearly 50 days in seven theatres across the twin districts.

 

Addressing a gathering at Jyothi Theatre, Ram Shetty, script writer and director of the movie, said that it will be released at theatres in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah at the end of this month. In September, it will be released in theatres across Muscat, he added.

He also said that the movie will be shown in threatres in Nasik, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Pune, adding that he has plans to show it in Europe too for the benefit of Tulu speakers in European countries.

Mr. Shetty also expressed his gratitude to all those who helped him realize his dreams. He especially thanked Shri Niranjana Swamiji of Sunkadakatte and Umanath Kotian, president of the Karnataka Tulu Academy.

Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, Amarnath Shetty, P. B. Harish Rai, Deepak Shetty, Adyar Madhava Naik, TammaLaxman, Jagannath Shetty, and others were also present.

Bangarda Kural broke the record when it was simultaneously released in 7 theatres across the twin districts on April 27, 2012. The film is currently being screened in Big Cinema and Jyothi Threatre in Mangalore, Amarashree in Moodubidri, Nakshathra in BC Road, Aruna in Puttur, Bharath in Belthangady, and Kalpana in Udupi.
