Truck turns turtle killing 18 cattle and injuring 2 people

Mangalore, April 7, 2012  : 18 cattle were killed and 2 persons injured when a vehicle that was allegedly used in transporting cattle turned turtle at Kottara on April 7 Saturday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Allegedly, the cattle were being illegally transported from Jokatte to Central Market.

Some sources have revealed that the truck was being chased by Bajrang Dal workers. The driver, who was going at top speed, lost control of his vehicle owing to which the truck turned turtle.

On April 5, Bajrang Dal workers had stopped a vehicle that was being allegedly used to illegally transport cattle and had handed over the cattle and the vehicle to the local police. The people who were involved in moving the cattle had fled when they saw the huge crowd of Bajrang Dal workers.
