Train services changed to facilitate track maintenance in Thiruvananthapuram division

Mangaluru, July 3, 2026: The Railways has announced changes to several train services in July 2026 due to track maintenance works being carried out in the Thiruvananthapuram Division. The changes include diversions, rescheduling of departures, and en route regulation of trains.

Diversion of Train Services

Train No. 16355 Thiruvananthapuram North–Mangaluru Junction Antyodaya Express, departing on July 16, 18, 23, and 25, will be diverted via Kottayam. The train will skip its scheduled stops at Alappuzha and Ernakulam Junction, while making additional halts at Kottayam and Ernakulam Town.


Railway Station

Similarly, Train No. 16603 Mangaluru Central–Thiruvananthapuram Central Maveli Express, departing on July 10, 17, and 24, will also operate via Kottayam. During these journeys, the train will skip Ernakulam Junction, Cherthala, Alappuzha, Ambalappuzha, and Haripad. Additional stoppages will be provided at Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanasseri, Tiruvalla, and Chengannur.

Rescheduled Train Services

The following trains will depart later than their scheduled timings:

* Train No. 22149 Ernakulam Junction–Pune Bi-Weekly Superfast Express, departing on July 14, will leave 20 minutes late, at 2.35 am instead of 2.15 am.
* Train No. 22655 Ernakulam Junction–Hazrat Nizamuddin Weekly Superfast Express, departing on July 15, will also depart 20 minutes late, at 2.35 am instead of 2.15 am.
* Train No. 22114 Thiruvananthapuram North–Lokmanya Tilak (T) Bi-Weekly Superfast Express, departing on July 6 and 13, will leave at 3.00 am instead of 12.55 am, resulting in a delay of 2 hours and 5 minutes.

Train Regulation

Train No. 16603 Mangaluru Central–Thiruvananthapuram Central Maveli Express, operating on July 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 27, and 28, will be regulated by 40 minutes en route due to the maintenance works.

Passengers are advised to check the latest train schedules before commencing their journey to avoid inconvenience.
