The heavy goods carriers which pass this way as well as the many other vehicles parked dangerously on the roadside are posing a great risk to the students.

The menace of these vehicles has been a big head ache to the school authorities, students as well as the parents who want an early solution to the problem.

Though  heavy vehicles opt to travel via Rosario School-Telegraph Office and Corporation Bank route in the morning when traffic police are on duty near the school, the vehicles are back on the St Ann’s and Carmel School road no sooner the traffic cops leave the place.

With several vehicles including two-wheelers, autorickshaws, cars and vans  arriving here to drop and pick-up students, the plight of the students who have to cross the road amid the zooming goods carriers is unexplainable.

To add to the problem some goods vehicles are parked on roadside for unloading purposes. There is a need for the traffic police department and other authorities concerned to take serious note of the problem and initiate remedial measures at the earliest.
