Mangalore September 20: Stating that the teaching methodologies used at present are outdated, Shivaprakash, the deputy project coordinator of Sarva Shikshana Abhiyana DK, spoke of the urgent need to modify teaching methodology in accordance with the Right to Education (RTE) Act. He had just inaugurated the Shikshana Shikshana Saptaha jointly organized by DK Shikshana Sampanmula Kendragala Okkuta (DKSSKO), Zilla Shikshana Sampanmula Kendra Udupi, Shikshana Kendra Mangalore, and Padi Mangalore in a bid to discuss ways to create a quality atmosphere to impart quality education.

Speaking in praise of the RTE Act, he said that this is the best legislation enabling poor and middle class parents to provide high quality education to their children.
 
President of DKSSKO Prema Ranjan said in her presidential address that various communities, parents, and teachers must come together to discuss ways to create top quality education for children. She also spoke of the need to create a stress free atmosphere for teachers.

Director of Padi Velored Renny D’Souza said in his introductory speed that the need for framing syllabi to enable teachers to impart education effectively as per the RTE is great. Krishna Shastry Balila spoke on free and compulsory Right to Education of Children Act 2009.
