Teachers are architects of good society: Vinaykumar Sorake

Udupi, Sep 5, 2013: Teachers are the architects of a good society through their selfless services which shape the personality as well as future of their students, said Vinaykumar Sorake, Udupi District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Urban Development.

He was speaking after inaugurating the district level Teachers Day celebrations organised by the Teachers Day Celebration Committee and Dr G Shanker Family Trust here on September 5, Thursday.

Stating that the district had registered remarkable progress on the academic front, he attributed the same to the hard works, sincerity and commitment of the teachers’ fraternity.

Prof. ML Samaga, former principal, delivered the keynote address. Best Teachers of the district as well as retired teachers were felicitated on the occasion.

Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj, Dr G Shanker, Upendra Nayak, Zilla Panchayat President, Mamatha R Shetty, ZP Vice President, Gowry V Poojari, TP President, Prabhaker Sharma Zilla Panchayat CEO, Nagendra Madhyastha, Deputy Director of Public Instructions and others were present.
