Mangalore, july 7,2012:Ondondu Nadigu Ondondu Kathe, a compilation of articles on Indian rivers by Taranath Perkadi, a Yakshagana artiste and scholar, was released on July 7, Saturday.
The book is a compilation of articles on rivers published in the Kannada daily Udayavani.
The book release ceremony was jointly organized by DK District Kannada Sahitya Parishad, Kalkura Prathistana, and Dr. Keelaaru Gopalakrishna Parthishtana. Dr. K. Vasanth Bharadwaj released the book and said that it is is an excellent work of research on rivers and will be well accepted by the public.
Bhuvaneshwari Hegde spoke about the book.
Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president of the DK District Sahitya Parishad; Dr. Devaraj; J. K. Bhat; and many others were present.
The Kalkura Award was conferred on Dr. Seemanthoor Narayana Shetty, senior theatre and Yakshagana artiste, on this occasion.
