TRF confers Talent Milad Award 2012 on 63 achievers

Mangalore, Mar 25, 2012: The Talent Milad Award 2012 was conferred on 63 achievers a Town Hall on March 25, Sunday at a special awards ceremony organized by Talent Research Foundation (TRF). 


Among the achievers who were felicitated were Niyaz Panakaje, who runs an autorickshaw while pursuing his degree; Nagaraj Rao, who has been distributing milk and papers for the past 30 years; Helen, who is looking after her family after her husband’s death; and Abdul Jaleel, who helped rescue victims of the Mangalore plane crash of 2010. They were honored with shawls, mementoes, and certificates.

The family members of each award winner were called on stage. Mohammed Rafeeq, TRF advisor, read out the citations. 


Awards were given in 18 categories and the award winners were three people from different communities in each category. 


The awards ceremony was inaugurated by Maulana Abdul Azeez. The chief guest was Nisar Ahmed, the inspector general of police from Bangalore. MLA U. T. Khader addressed the gathering on the occasion. 


On this occasion, Haji Abdul Khader of Evergreen Suppliers in Mangalore, released Savi Nenapu and presented the first copy to Haq Assadi of Assadi Group in Mangalore. Mayor Gulzar Banu released Summary of Sachar Committee and Wakf Irregularities and presented the first copy to R. Rohini, the district information officer. Leo D’Souza released The Pathfinder and presented the first copy to Mr. Raju. 


Mayor Gulzar Banu, Jamiyathul Falaz DK and Udupi President Khaleel Ahmed, editor of Anupama Shahnaz M., and the president of Billawa Samaja Seva Sangha Karkala also addressed the gathering on this occasion. 


Among the dignitaries on the dais were Abdul Rauf Puthige, the founder and chairman of TRF; Ashraf Bava; Pradeep Kumar Kalkuar; B. M. Farooq; Vasudeva Boloor; Riyaz Bawa; Saleem Malar; Mansoor Ahmed; Ahmed Sharif; Shameem Kunil; Shabeena Akthar; and Khairunnisa Sayed.
Saif Sulthan of Dubai presented an audio visual on the subject of communal harmony.

Around 107 scouts and guides, who volunteered at the National Youth Festival, were also rewarded on this occasion.
