Mangalore, Aug 20, 2011: Sudhakar Yermal of Vijaya Karnataka and Wilfred D’Souza of TV9 have won the first prize in the Krishna Vesha Photography and Videography competition 2010, respectively. The event was organized by the Kalkura Prathishtan.
M. Narendra, the chairman and managing director of the Indian Overseas Bank, distributed prizes to the winners on Friday morning at Press Club.
In the photography category, Dharanesh of Konaje and Reshma of KPN received the second and third prizes, respectively. GK Hegde of Vijaya Karnataka, Sampath Kumar of Kuttethur, and Apul Ira Kinnimajalu received consolation prizes.
In the videography category, Shivaprasad and Prasanna Poojary received second and third prizes, respectively.
Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, the president of Kalkura Prathishtan, said that the photography and videography competitions of this year will be held on Aug 21 at Kadri Temple as part of the national-level Shri Krishna Vesha Competition.
Those who wish to participate can send 6”x9” sized photos and 10-minute video clips to Kalkura Prathishtana, Shri Krishna Complex, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Kodialbail, Mangalore 575003 before September 5.
