Vittal, Aug 28, 2013 : The Government First Grade College of Vittal which was much in the news recently over student clashes is once again in the news. On August 27, Tuesday, cases were booked against as many as 50 students of the college for fighting in public.
Sources said two groups of students were seen involved in a fracas right on the road at around 11 am forcing residents of the area inform the police.
The police who rushed to the spot, dispersed the students and registered cases against 50 of them under IPC Section 160.
The College had been witness to fights between student groups ever since the Students Council elections were held. Later there was confusion after a student was accused of sexually harassing a girl student.
In a recent development, CC Cameras and intercom were also installed in the college to avert such incidents. But this time, the students instead of clashing within campus, have chosen to clash on mid-road.
