Mangalore, Sep 4, 2012 : The state government has told the High Court of Karnataka on Monday that it will file charges against the accused in the Mangalore home stay attack within two weeks. The court was hearing a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by advocate Vasudeva, urging the court to order a CBI enquiry into the case.
Devadas, legal representative for the state government, said that the state government is investigating the case strictly and the culprits will be punished on the basis of evidence already collected. Stating that the government is in possession with video footage and memory cards, he said that the culprits will be booked in the next 15 days.
Justice B. V. Nagaratna and Chief Justice V. J. Sen, who were hearing the case, adjourned it by five days.
