St. Christopher Association holds 46th general body meeting

Mangalore,aug 5, 2012:St. Christopher Association of Mangalore held its 46th general body meeting on August 5, Saturday. 

Rev. Dr. Aloysius Paul D’Souza offered mass at Rosario Cathedral Church and blessed the vehicles of the members of the association by sprinkling holy water on them. 

Association members’ children, who had secured top marks in their exams, were honored on the occasion. Some of the students honored were Asha Melita D’Souza, Joyce H. D’Souza, Jesline M. D’Souza, Sheetal R. Veigas, Jessline Maria Tauro, Joel Andrew Sequeira, and others. 

The bishop honored Mr. Susheel Noronha for his contributions to the association. The runners-up of SOAD 3 Carol Monteiro and Robin Sequeira were also honored on this occasion as their parents belong to the association.

A new executive committee was later elected, and the new members are Susheel Noronha (honorary president), Victor Menezes (president), Francis D’Souza (vice president), Herald D’Souza (secretary), Raymond D’Cunha (joint secretary), and Fr. Stany Goveas (treasurer). 

President Susheel Noronha delivered the welcome address, Secretary Victor Menezes read the annual report, Vice President Francis D’Souza presented the accounts, and the joint secretary delivered the vote of thanks. The MC was Raymond D’Cunha
