St. Aloysius High School boy develops and launches social networking site

Mangalore, July 4, 2012: Prithvi Raj S. Amin (15), a student of X Std at St. Aloysius High School, spoke about youflik.com, his newly launched social networking website, at a press meet held in Press Club on July 4, Wednesday.

Youflik.com was officially launched in the premises of St. Aloysius High School on July 2, Monday.

 

Addressing the gathering of reporters, Prithvi said that youflik.com can be used to send mails and share photos, videos, and music. Youflik.com also features voice and video chat and instant messaging. Another exciting feature is the dashboard, which shares users’ status updates and activity feeds. Those interested can also place their ads on Youflik.com at reasonable rates. 

Internet users can use Youflik.com to promote their products, services, groups, communities, and so on. They can also create fun pages, host events, and make friends. Besides, users can create applications using Youflik tools.
Prithvi said that, if he gets the required funds, he will develop the website further. Stating that the website still has certain bugs, he said that he is updating it every day. He calls it a “learning experience.” Other interesting features of his social networking site are an interactive forum, a blog section, text messages, polls, and so on. 

Prithvi’s parents Sathish Kumar and Sujaya Sathish, Fr. Edward Rodrigues, headmaster of St. Aloysius High School, and Santhosh Lobo, the computer teacher, were also present at the press meet.
