Mangalore, Nov 10, 2013: The members of Sri Rama Sena staged a protest in front DC Office on Nov 11, Monday opposing the Shadi Bhagya Scheme and Anti Superstitious Bill by the state Government.
Addressing the protestors, Kumar Malemar, state vice president of Sri Rama Sena said that the congress led Government which has taken the decision to introduce the Shadi Bhagya scheme only for the minorities is condemned.
He also said that the Chief Minister Siddharamaiah who has secured the position through the votes from people belonging to all religion, is only interested in benefitting the minorities with Cot, pillow and the amount of Rs 50,000 during the time of marriage and this decision of State Government is condemned.
He also said that the congress government has also announced to introduce Anti Superstitious Bill against the Bhootharadhane, Satyanarayana Pooja and Bhoomi Pooja which is the part of Hindu culture, hence he urged the CM to change his decision on both the issues, if not Sri Ram Sena will hold a violent protest across the state in the coming days.
They also burnt the effigy of CM Siddharamaiah.
