Special Christmas CD ’Balok Ek Zalmala’ released

Mangalore, Nov 30: A special Christmas CD “Balok Ek Zalmala” by Richard Machado was released by Fr. Norbert Lobo, the parish priest of the Immaculate Conception Church, Mulki, at Divine Call Centre Mulki, following the solemn mass held to mark the beginning of Advent on Nov 28, Friday. The carols in this CD can be used by educational as well as religious institutions for programmes revolving around the theme of Christmas. Fr. Cyprian Lewis SVD, the director of Divine Call Centre and Fr. Melwin of Kinnigoli Parish were also present at the release. 



In his speech, Fr. Lobo lauded Mr. Richard Machado, who hails from Derebail Parish, for brining out a CD for the Christmas season. Mr. Machado has composed the lyrics and tunes. Mr. Gladson Ravindra is the music director. Fr. Walter Albuquerque SJ has done the harmonization. Nanson recorded this CD at Kalasangama, Mangalore. Fr. Anil Kiran Fernandes SVD, Fr. Sunil Menezes SVD, Mr. Ronald, Mrs Maria Pereira, Mr. Oswald, Baby Lisha, Mrs. Mariya, Joylin, Smenita, and Mr. Richard Machado are the singers. 


          

Mr. Richard Machado has composed several lyrics and tunes and brought out CDs such as “Agape,” “Khursar Thavn,” “Apad Jezu Maka,” and “Tuji Kurpa” in Konkani. He has also brought out an English CD “Strenghten Us Your Servants.” 

The CD “Balok Ek Zalmala” is produced by Divine Call Centre, Mulki. The copies can be purchased at the Retreat Centre and all prominent religious shops in Mangalore. Soon, the copies will be available in Mumbai too.
