Sneha suicide case: CT Ravi directs cops to crack down drugs mafia

Drug AbuseMangalore, Feb 4, 2013:  The DK district in-charge minister CT Ravi has taken serious cognizance of the  case of the suicide of 18 year old Sneha who was reportedly addicted to drugs.

The minister has already directed the Kavoor police to thoroughly investigate the case and  initiate steps to crack down the drugs mafia which has spread its dangerous tentacles far and wide in the city, in turn wreaking havoc on the lives of some misguided youngsters.


The Minister has also assured to instruct the Police Commissioner of Mangalore as well as the Western Range IGP to take stern action against drug peddlers.

In the meantime, Gururaj Upadhyaya, the grief stricken father of Sneha of Padavinangady who ended her life by hanging herself on the night of February 2, Saturday, has said he would fight against the drugs mafia  and also confessed that he had so far not spoken up fearing the reputation of the family. He also revealed that his daughter had failed to heed to any advice as drugs and parties were uppermost in her mind.
