Mangalore, Sep 18, 2013: ‘Silk India-2013’, a six-day exhibition cum sale of pure silk products will be held at Hotel Moti Mahal from September 18, Wednesday to September 23, Monday.
An exhibition has been organized on the occasion of Vijayadashmi by Abhivridhi, an association assisting Artisans and Weavers-Mysore.
Speaking after inaugurating the event, A J Shetty, Managing Director of Hotel Moti Mahal said that the women will get wide range of silk saris and other dress materials weaved by the silk weavers from 22 states under one roof. Every woman must utilize this opportunity to purchase silk products of their choices.
The exhibition displays silks of Tassar, Eri, Mulberry and Muga Silk Products endorsed by Silk Mark Retailers, Manufacturers and Exporters of India.
Speaking on the occasion, T Abhinandan, Chief Organizer of Abhivridhi said that exhibition comprises of 58 stores displaying more than 100 varieties of silk of 22 states. The silk saris range from Rs 1,500 to Rs One Lakh. Rs one lakhs saris will have the pure gold works instead of zari, while the sari of Rs 20,000have the one gram gold work, he said.
Sridevi Education Institution secretary Maina Shetty and Chief executive officer Rakesh Rai was present on the occasion.
