Six Arrested in Dharmasthala YouTuber Assault Case Granted Interim Bail

Beltangady, Aug 10, 2025: Six persons arrested in connection with the assault on four YouTubers at Pangal Cross in Dharmasthala village on August 6 have been granted interim bail.

The accused — Padmaprasad, Suhas, Guruprasad, Shashikumar, Kalandar and Chetan, all residents of Dharmasthala — were taken into custody by Dharmasthala police on August 9 and produced before the residence of the Beltangady judge the same evening. The judge granted them interim bail with a directive to appear before the Beltangady court on August 11.

Police said the incident took place when two groups allegedly gathered unlawfully and caused a disturbance. Acting on a suo motu complaint filed by Dharmasthala sub-inspector Samarth R. Ganiger, a case was registered at the Dharmasthala police station on the night of August 6 against 27 named individuals and others in connection with the case.
