Mangalore, Sep 11, 2013: Bunt achievers in various fields were felicitated at a function held here on September 10, Tuesday under the aegis of the Sri Siddi Vinayaka Pratishtana and Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava Samithi, Omkarnagar, Bunts Hostel.

 Prominent among those who were honoured  on the occasion were Vinaykumar Sorake, Urban Development Minister, Abhayachandra Jain, Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Nagaraj Shetty, former minister, KSM Masood, President of DK and Udupi District Muslim Central Committee, Rev. Fr Dennis D’Sa, PRO of Udupi Diocese, Dr Jeevandhar Ballal, Dharmadarshi of Kantavar Sri Kanteshwara Temple, Gurukiran Shetty, renowned music director,  Dr Indira Hegde, veteran writer and Deviprasad Shetty Kalladi, Convenor of Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Prasaditha Yakshagana Mandali.

Maladi Ajith Kumar Rai, Managing Trustee of the Pratishtana presided over the function. Dr Shantharam Shetty, Dean of Nitte University,  Yashwanthi Alva, former president of Karnataka Cashew Development Board, Dr Asha Jyothi Rai,  Manjunath Bhandari and others were present.
