Mangalore, July 20, 2013: Shri Chitrapur Math will hold two month long Kodial Chaturmasa – 2013 undertaken by Param Pujya Sadyojat Shankarashram Swamiji, Mathadhipathi of Shri Chitrapur Math Samsthana from July 22, Monday to September 19.

Speaking at the press meet held at Shri Chitrapur Math, Mangalore on Saturday, July 20, Vinod G Yennemadi, president of Chaturmasa Standing Committee said that the Chaturmasa Vrata will commence with the elaborate Vyasa- puja performed by Pujya Swamiji on July 22, which is the Aashada Shukla Purnima and which is celebrated as guru purnima.
He also said that on each day during the chaturmasa there will be many spiritually uplifting ceremonies, puja and interactive sessions throughout the day and a variety of cultural programmes in the evenings by many talented devotees.
Swamiji will also be regularly conducting Swadhyaya and performing Shiva puja and Devi puja in which all the devotees can participate.
He also said that Swamiji is undertaking his Chaturmasya Vrata in Mangalore after 11 long years and many devotees can take this golden opportunity to come to the Math to take his blessings and participate in manifold spiritual and cultural activities.
Kodial Chaturmasa – 2013 committee convener Mahesh L Bondal and president Kiran A Panemangalore were present at the press meet.
