Mangalore, Nov 29, 2012 : Rithesh Shetty, vice president of the DK Zilla Panchayat, inaugurated the High School Students’ Science Model Competition organized by Pilikula Regional Science Center, Department of Karnataka State Education Research and Training, and Department of DDPI DK District at Pilikula on Wednesday.











In his inaugural address, Mr. Shetty said that science and technology should be used in environment conservation and farming.
Speaking on the occasion, ZP CEO Dr. K. N. Vijayaprakash advised students to be thirsty for knowledge and seek the truth. He also appreciated DK students who had achieved great things at the national level.
Mr. Ajith Kumar Hegde Shanady, secretary of Pilikula Regional Science Center, delivered the presidential address.
TP President Harish K., Teachers Training Institute Director Philomena Lobo, ZP Member Yashwanthi Alva, Moodushedde GP President Umesh J., and Pilikula Biological Park Director H. J. Bhandary were also present.
PRSC Director Dr. K. V. Rao spoke about the program and delivered the welcome address. DDPI Moses Jayashekar delivered the vote of thanks. Sudhakar Pejawar was the MC.
The chief guests viewed the science models on display and wished the students well.
