Mangalore, Jan 28, 2013: The much awaited movie “Sandalwood Sa Ri Ga Ma” starring Sindhu Loknath will be released on 1st February 2013 across Karnataka in all Multiplexes including Big Cinema in Mangalore.

Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Jan 28, movie director Sharath Kadri said that the movie will unveil a lot of behind the scenes instances which is believed to be the raw face of the film industry.

 

Senior Actor Avinash is playing an important role as a celebrity guest in the movie. Being a film based on a true story, he comes as his own self in the movie. The trailers of this movie have already attracted lot viewers on YouTube and Facebook.

 Sharath said that “Sandalwood Sa Ri Ga Ma” is   a film based on his experience in the film industry with interesting tit- bits of his interaction with the heroes, heroines & heroine’s mothers showing a contrast between the corporate world & the film world.

The “Gurutina Hacche” song from the movie “Sandalwood Sa Ri Ga Ma” was tagged as a controversial song by some of the Radio Channels as the song is a satire of the current situation of the film industry.

He also said that the movie is based on true story. Most of the characters in the movie are real. The two hour story itself is the hero of the movie since there are 72 characters in the movie.

Around 70% of the movie has been created in graphics. Some of the background scenes created are IT Tech Parks, Restaurants  & other locations in par with the Hollywood standards at the estimated budget of Rs .25 crore.

‘Lifu Ishtene’ famed Sindhu Loknath is in the lead role & she has also sung a song in the movie. Speaking about the songs, Music director Keerthan said that there are 3 songs in the movie and they have also initiated an online bidding activity on Facebook & the first audio CD was bid for Rs.10750, which was given to the charity.

On the story of the film, Sharath said that ‘Sandalwood Sa Ri Ga Ma’  is a Movie which is based on a real story of a person who quits his cozy corporate career to enter the Kannada Film Industry as a Director. 

It narrates the experience of a newcomer entering the film industry and shows the peculiar aspects and elements of this industry with a blend of comedy.
