Sahayog Career Conclave 2012 held in city

Mangalore, May 15, 2012: The Department of Collegiate Education of the Government of Karnataka organized Sahayog Career Conclave 2012, a job fair for graduates and post graduates at Government First Grade College, Car Street on May 12, Tuesday.

In his inaugural address, Yogesh Bhat, the deputy speaker, said that students need not only a degree certificate, but also the required skills to get a job. He said that prospective employers prefer to hire confident and skillful students. Simultaneously, he urged students not recruited by any company to consider it as experience gained on how to face a job interview.

The job fair attracted 51 IT, retail, automobile, and insurance companies and 1,500 job seekers.

Prof. Seema, joint director of the Department of Collegiate Education of the Government of Karnataka, and Dr. Radhakrishna, principal of Government First Grade College, were also present.
