SJEC hosts 2-day Tech Fest 2012

Mangalore, Mar 16, 2012: St. Joseph Engineering College is organizing the 2-day Tech Fest 2012 as part of its decennial year celebrations. L. N. Anand, the executive engineer of Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board (KUWSDB), the chief guest of the event, inaugurated the festival on March 16 Friday.
Sandeep Naik, DGM (human resources) MRPL, was the guest of honor. The other dignitaries on the dais were Fr. Valerian D’Souza, the college director; Fr. Henry Mascarenhas, the assistant director; Dr. Rio D’Souza, the dean (academic) of the MCA department; Prof. Eric Patrao; Dr. Pius Pinto, the convener of the Decennial Celebrations Committee; and Dr. Joseph Gonsalves, the principal.
Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, the professor and head of the mechanical engineering department, delivered the welcome address. Mr. Anand and Mr. Naik also delivered inspirational and motivating speeches on the occasion.
Over 1000 students from all over DK will participate in this festival. A cultural evening will be held on the first day of the festival and the valedictory ceremony will be held on March 17.
