SIR: Over 6.48 Lakh Electoral Enumeration Forms Distributed in Dakshina Kannada

Mangaluru, July 5, 2026: The distribution of enumeration forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has gathered pace in Dakshina Kannada, with 6,48,452 forms distributed among the district’s 18,03,766 voters as of Saturday.

According to the District Election Officer (DEO), 13,287 forms have been digitised so far, accounting for 0.74% of the total electorate. During the verification process, officials have also identified 41 permanently shifted voters and 75 deceased voters.

Statewide, the distribution of enumeration forms crossed the halfway mark on Saturday. According to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Karnataka, 2,78,21,970 forms—covering 50.19% of the State’s 5,54,32,314 electors—had been distributed by 6 p.m.

The month-long house-to-house enumeration and digitisation drive, which began on June 30, will continue until July 29.
