As Ashraf was preparing to drop Tanveer off at the vegetable shop, a truck, which had just delivered produce to the shop, collided with his motorcycle while reversing in a reckless manner. Both Ashraf and Tanveer sustained injuries as a result of the accident. Ashraf, critically wounded, was swiftly transported to Unity Hospital in Mangaluru, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.

Several accidents have previously occurred in the vicinity of the wholesale vegetable shop in Kaikamba. This latest incident has stirred public outrage, prompting a temporary traffic blockade.

In response to the situation, the traffic police promptly arrived at the scene and successfully managed to pacify the enraged crowd.
