Ranjitha murder case : Bereaved family demands arrest of all family members of accused

Malpe, Nov 28, 2013 :  The case of  murder of a young girl by a jilted lover at Kadekar in Malpe police station limits has taken an interesting turn. Even as the accused  is absconding, the family of the deceased girl has urged the police to arrest all members of his family until the culprit was apprehended.

 

 

It may be recalled here that Ranjitha (20), a second year BA Student at G Shanker PU College, was allegedly stabbed to death by a neighbour  named Yogish when she had been to a friend’s house to study. It is being said that Yogish who was after Ranjitha since a year had stabbed her after she turned down his love for her on November 27, Wednesday.

The police have already taken into custody Rajkumar, the uncle of the accused youth. It is learnt that Rajkumar had earlier taken up the responsibility  for   Yogish’s actions.The family of Ranjitha states that  they had earlier approached the SP and DC with the help of Dalit leaders seeking protection for their daughter from Yogish who was pestering her.

The SP had then assured action and had asked the Malpe police to do the needful. The Malpe SI had summoned Yogish and his uncle then had assured that Yogish would not disturb the girl. It is learnt on November 26, Tuesday too Yogish had tried to trouble Ranjitha. Though the police were informed, they had come in search of Yogish but  could not find him. Ranjitha’s family alleges that even Yogish’s sisters were backing him.
