Puttur: Inter-state accused with over 20 cases arrested

Puttur, Aug 9, 2025: An inter-state accused wanted in both Kerala and Karnataka has been produced before the Puttur court on Friday.


Wanted accused arrested


The accused, identified as Ilyas P.A., a resident of Viyyur in Thrissur district, Kerala, is facing multiple cases registered at Puttur Town, Uppinangady, and Dharmasthala police stations in Karnataka. Police said he is also involved in over 20 cases in Kerala’s Thrissur and Malappuram districts.

Under the guidance of the Puttur sub-division DySP, a special team led by Uppinangady Police Sub-Inspector Kaushik apprehended the accused, according to a police statement.
