Preparations afoot for spectacular Alva’s Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat 2013

Mangalore, Nov 17, 2013: The year 2013 which marks the 10th year of Alva’s Nudisiri and 20th year of Alva’s Virasat, is a special year when the two historic events  will be amalgamated and Alva’s Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat -2013 will be held.

Giving details in this regard at a preparatory meet held here on November 16, Saturday, Dr M Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education and Cultural Foundation, who is  the brain behind the spectacular event, said this year the Alva’s Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat will be held from December 19 to 22.

 

At least 50,000 artistes and writers are expected to take part in the event, Dr Alva said  and added a minimum of two lakh participants are also likely to witness the  programme one each day.

Arrangements for the grand event are underway in a 100 acre venue where seven stages will be put up. A total of 55 committees are also formed for the success of the event.

A cultural team of Alva’s Foundation, comprising 250 members will present cultural shows in Mumbai and across the nation as part of Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat, he informed.

JR Lobo, MLA and Fr Francis  Gomes, Principal of Milagres College, were also present.
