Poojari challenges Narendra Modi yet again

Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, May 2, 2013: If it is widely believed that it was a challenge posed by senior Congress leader Janardhan Poojari that forced Gujarat CM Narendra Modi to come down to Mangalore for an election rally, the senior Congress leader has now come up with yet another challenge for Modi.

Poojari who spoke to press persons at the Congress election office on May 2, Thursday even as Modi addressed the election rally at Nehru Maidan, challenged that he would quit politics and opt for ‘Political sanyas’ if the BJP comes to power. “But if BJP fails to win, then Modi should resign from his post and quit politics,” Poojari demanded.

The senior Congress leader also gave a 48 hour deadline to Modi to accept the challenge. Poojari said the Gujarat CM had no courage to speak about Karnataka politics. Coming down heavily on Modi’s comment that  Rahul Gandhi is a ’golden spoon baby’, Poojari questioned why the Gujarat CM was silent about Janardhana Reddy’s golden chair. He ( Modi) has no moral right to talk about Rahul Gandhi, Poojari said and alleged that Modi had come only to sow the seeds of religious divide.

On the BJP’s criticisms that Delhi was unsafe for women, Poojari questioned if no rapes took place in Gujarat. He said the 2G and coalgate scams were the creations of BJP and accused the party of leaking the JPC report.
