Petty issue turns chaotic at Kadri

Mangalore, Nov 25, 2013: A group clash was witnessed over a petty issue near the city hospital at Kadri on November 24, Sunday.

Reportedly, the car which was carrying group of men and two women got stuck into a pothole in front of a restaurant in Kadri. Immediately the people inside the car got down and tried to pull the car out with the help of few locals.

 

While all were struggling to pull out the car, restaurant owner passed some comments about the driver and his driving skills. The driver who got insulted with the comment, fought with the restaurant owner making it a serious issue.

As they started beating the restaurant owner, his employees came out with swords, rod and a bottle to rescue their owner, making other group anger. During the incident one of the women was pulled into the fight and was injured.

When the clash turned out serious, the locals called the police. The officials who arrived at the spot with lady constables controlled the situation.

The police arrested the owner and two of his employees for bringing the weapons and attacking on women.

Kadri police registered an FIR.
