Mangalore, Nov 10, 2013: State Minister for Forest and Ecology and DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai has said that a high level committee has been formed to check environmental degradation and also to regulate functioning of industries.
He was participating in an interactive meet with industrialists organised at the KCCI Meeting Hall in Mangalore on November 9, Saturday under the aegis of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and industry (FKCCI), Bangalore and Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mangalore.


The Minister further said the state government has sanctioned Rs 42 crores to the district for development of vital roads.He said the fund was received through the Central Road Fund of the Union Ministry of Road Transport.
UT Khader, State Health and Family Welfare Minister, said District Wenlock Hospital in Mangalore will soon get a super specialty centre with 350 additional beds. He also said a long standing demand of people of Ullal has been fulfilled with the sanction of Rs 7.5 crore for the widening of Thokkottu-Mudipu Road.
