One more staffer of Karavali Ale attacked; 2 arrested

Mangalore, Feb 11, 2013 : One more staffer of Karavali Ale Kannada eveninger published from Mangalore, was assaulted on February 10. It is reported that Punit Krishna was attacked at Kerekar at around 7.30 pm by some miscreants. He has been admitted to Padmavathi Hospital.

This is the second attack on a Karavali Ale staffer in the past one week. As already reported, Harish Putran, a senior office staff was attacked near the Kulai bus stand allegedly by Hindu Jagarana Vedike activists on February 6. It is suspected that the attack was in retaliation to a report published in the daily regarding drug mafia.

In the meanwhile, police have arrested two persons in connection with the attack. The arrested are identified as Ravu of Kodikere and Gururaj of SEZ.

More arrests are likely to take place in connection with the case.
