New minister Abhayachandra Jain gets rousing reception

Mangalore, May 19, 2013: Newly inducted state minister Abhayachandra Jain  was accorded a rousing reception on his arrival at the Mangalore airport on May 18, Saturday after attending the swearing-in ceremony in the state capital. A large number of party workers and admirers had gathered at the airport and warmly received the leader.

Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Abhayachandra thanked the party leadership for choosing him as a minister and clarified that he had never lobbied for a cabinet berth. He said he had only made a request to consider his name in case of any opportunity.

Abhayachandra further said he would discharge his responsibilities as a minister sincerely and would work for the overall development of the district, no matter which portfolio he was assigned.
