He gave this assurance t o the Udupi Chikmagalur MP Jayaprakash Hegde who had summoned the officer to Brahmavar on January 29, Tuesday in the backdrop of the suspended works, reportedly due to financial constraints

The officer said   the problems would be solved as the company was presently negotiating with another bank and assured that the works would resume at the earliest.

On this occasion, the Brahmavar Block Congress President Rajesh Shetty brought to the notice of the company the problems faced by people near the Brahmavar  Akashvani and urged that the height of the proposed underpass be reduced  near Brahmavar.

Other leaders including  Bhujanga Shetty, former president of Varambally Gram Panchayat said the service roads laid on either side of the under pass were very narrow  affecting smooth flow of traffic.

KM Hegde, an officer of the NHAI who too was present, assured to consider the problems and initiate measures to minimize inconvenience caused to the public.

Later, the Udupi MP said the delay in the execution of the works was mainly due to the problems of the contracting agency and that neither the Union Government nor the NHAI could be blamed for the  same.

Rickshaw union President Raju Poojari, Godwin Menezes, Prakash Shetty, Abdul Salam and others were present.
