NMAMIT organizes mega 3-day inter-collegiate festival

Nitte, March 8, 2012: B. Ananthakrishna, the chairman of Karnataka Bank Limited, inaugurated a 3-day state inter-collegiate cultural event called Anandotsava 2012 organized by NMAMIT, Nitte in the college auditorium today.

Delivering the presidential address, Principal Dr. S. Y. Kulkarni said that the festival is meant to be a platform for students to exhibit their literary and cultural talents. Speaking about Anandotsava, he said that it was launched a few years back and has evolved into a mega event with over 1000 students from 50 engineering colleges across the state participating. He also expressed hopes that the event evolves into a technical university level festival.

Vice Principal Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar delivered the welcome address. Prof. Yuvaraj B. N., the chairman of the organizing committee, spoke about the festival. Prof. Shalini K. Sharma, the head of the department of placement and counseling, proposed the vote of thanks. While Shailesh introduced the chief guest to the gathering, the MCs of the event were Nisarga and Anusha.
