Mangaluru, June 21, 2026: The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) re-examination for medical admissions is being conducted across the country on Sunday. In Mangaluru police commissionerate limits, the examination is being held at 12 designated centres, with 5,570 candidates scheduled to appear.

To ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the examination, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Traffic) and Special Executive Magistrate K Ravishankar has declared a 200-metre radius around all exam centres as a prohibited zone.

Under the order, the gathering of five or more persons, except candidates, is prohibited. Any attempt to assist candidates through malpractice, pass chits, exchange materials, or communicate exam-related information through gestures or other means has been banned.

The possession of corrosive substances, explosives, or lethal weapons within the prohibited zone is also prohibited.

Further, all photocopy and computer centres located within 200 metres of the examination venues have been directed to remain closed from one hour before the commencement of the exam until its conclusion. The use of mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, pagers and other electronic communication gadgets inside the examination premises is strictly prohibited, according to a press release issued by the DCP.
